Following PowerSchool’s December 2024 data breach, PowerSchool has partnered with Experian to provide two years of free credit and identity monitoring for all school districts using PowerSchool SIS. This includes the Ketchikan Gateway Borough School District.

This service is provided at no cost to present and past employees and students.

Our department will provide the students, parents, faculty, and staff of the Ketchikan Gateway Borough School District with the most timely and efficient IT infrastructure and support to meet each stakeholder's educational goals.

Who Are We

The Ketchikan Gateway Borough Technology Department is composed of a group of dedicated technologist that are divided into two groups:

  • Network Services and Infrastructure - Headed by the Network and Technology Supervisor, this group is dedicated to building and maintaining network and server infrastructure. This group also includes field technicians who are tasked with maintaining thousands of end-user devices.
  • Information and Application Support - Headed by the District's Technology Director, this group is dedicated to maintaining the District Website, PowerSchool Student Information System, Canvas Learning Management System, Alaska Digital Academy online courses, software support , and generating data for the numerous Federal and State reports that are required.
