About

  • Music has always been a part of my life.  My mom started me playing the violin when I was three years old.  I spent a lot of time pounding on the piano in the basement.  I was a music performance major on the Violin in college.  I played the clarinet in college when I completed my BA in music education k-12 licensure with instrumental emphasis from Metropolitan State College of Denver.  I am currently applying to graduate school hoping to complete my masters of music education.  I started teaching at Fawn Mountain Elementary in 2019.  I have three children.  My adult son is a lead field engineer building power plants.  My adult daughter is a chemical engineer working on the patent for her senior project that she worked on for NASA.  The partner company is going forward with her design and have hired her on as a paid intern.  My youngest son lives here in Ketchikan and attended Fawn Mountain.  We love to ski, kayak, hike and travel.
