Should I take the SAT or ACT? - If you plan on attending a four-year college or university, you will want to take the ACT or SAT. We recommend that you take both tests because some schools may prefer one over the other, and you may score better on one or the other.

SAT II (Subject Tests) Some colleges specify the subject tests they require for admission or placement; others allow applicants to choose which tests to take. Some colleges will give credit for SAT II exams, others will simply use them to advise students about placement and course selection. Tests are available in English Literature, U.S. History, World History, Mathematics I & II, Biology E/M, Chemistry, Physics, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Modern Hebrew, Italian, Latin, Japanese, and Korean. Visit Collegeboard.org for more information.
