    SLED, the Alaska State Library, has added Brain Pop to its list of great Resources. Brain Pop provides students with short animated films on science, social studies, English, math, engineering & tech, health and arts and music.  Students may also take quizzes, do activities and view related videos.

    BrainPop (http://www.brainpop.com ) - Short animated films on science, social studies, English, math, engineering and technology, health, and arts and music. Students can take quizzes, do activities and view related videos.

    BrainPop Spanish (http://esp.brainpop.com ) - Spanish-language animated videos on science, social studies, math, engineering and technology, health, arts and music, and English and Spanish (differences between languages).

    BrainPopJr (http://www.brainpopjr.com ) - Short animated films for K-3 students on science, social studies, English, math, engineering and technology, health, and arts and music. Students can take quizzes, do activities and view related videos.

    Each of the sites comes with a mobile app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The mobile apps require an ID and password you can obtain from the Digital Pipeline password line at 1-800-440-2919. This number works only in Alaska.

    The databases can be found under Elementary School and in the A-Z listing of the Digital Pipeline (http://sled.alaska.edu/databases ).

    BrainPop on the web shouldn't ask for a password if you have an Alaska-based Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you do have issues, please do the following: Get the passwords for BrainPop by calling 1-800-440-2919. From the computer having the access issue, complete the "ALN Get Help" form at http://alaskalibrarynetwork.org/get-help/.
