Hello! My name is Dawn Shlaudeman and I am beginning my 23rd year of teaching and I have a master's degree in Early Reading & Literacy. I am originally from a very small farming and ranching community in Montana (185 people), but I have been living and teaching here in Ketchikan for the last 14 years. In my spare time here in Alaska, I like to work in my vegetable garden, go out fishing with my husband, spend time with friends and family, read, hike and quilt. In my spare time in Montana, you would have found me out on the tractor or swather, irrigating, working with livestock, mucking stalls and volunteering at a Hippotherapy program. I look forward to getting to know all of you and working with you to make your child's school year a huge success.
