Houghtaling Elementary School parking lot will be under construction this summer to create a new traffic route. The playground in the back is available for community use. Be cautious of designated work areas for the safety of all. Houghtaling parents/guardians, watch the progress over the summer and be ready for the new student drop off and pick up procedures. District employees will be on site the first two weeks of school to implement the new traffic route. The first student day is August 30th. Have a safe and super summer!
FREE summer meals are no hassle! Parents don’t need to apply to get a free summer meal for their kids and teens. They can simply bring their child to Schoenbar Middle School starting June 5th from 11:30am to 1:00pm, Monday through Friday. Summer Lunch ends August 18, 2017. Adults meals are $5.00
The Gateway Recreation Center and the Ketchikan Public Library have fun events happening over the summer for your children to keep them busy! The Library has their Summer Reading Program.
