  • Attend Today

Tardy Chronic tardiness can have a lasting impact on students.

Learning is underway as soon as the bell rings and attendance has already been submitted. Teachers understand that sometimes students will be late; however, when a student becomes chronically tardy, it is a real concern both for the student and classroom continuity.

Preparing the night before helps eliminate morning chaos.

  • Parent Access to Power School, Lunch Balance & Payments

To access your child's lunch balance, make a payment, check grades and attendance you will need to set up a parent portal account.

Your child's power school number and temporary password will be on the sheet of instructions that your child brought home.

If you've already set up a parent portal you do not need to redo it.  Use the same user name and password from last year.

School News & Events

     Virtual Author Visit
Sixth grade students enjoyed a visit with Laurie Wallmark of New Jersey.  Wallmark is the author of "Ada Byron Lovelace and the Thinking Machine" and "Grace Hopper: Queen of the Computer Code".  Both of these books focus on women scientists and their contributions to modern technology.
Wallmark gave students a first look at her new book "Hedy Lamarr's Double Life".  This book is about the glamorous 1940's startlet who was also secretly a famous inventor that contributed to modern day Wifi technology.
Students read Wallmark's books and composed questions to ask the author about science and writing.  During the Google Meet session, students took turns asking Wallmark their questions.
Wallmark was very excited to have her first author visit in Alaska!  Her books have won many awards including the New York Public Library Best Books for Kids 2017 and School Library Journal - 2017 Unique Biographies recognition.
